Beverly Hills - December 20, 2016
Beachwood Builders has done several projects at our house. Not only is the work exemplary and the costs very fair, but all of the people that work with Beachwood really listen to the client, have great humor, and work very efficiently. I cannot recommend this company higher. The owner, Billy Bowles, pulls together a great crew and closely monitors all the work delivering high quality and long-lasting work.
Toluca Woods - November 29, 2016
Beachwood has handled several fairly complicated projects for my home. I've always felt the work was above the quality of what was usually required. Not to mention the personal touch. Just nice people.
Santa Monica - November 29, 2016
I have two English Tudor houses that are on the National Registry of Historic Places, and Beachwood Builders have been my go-to craftsman/builders for decades. From elaborate garden walls, masonry paths, wooden gates and tree-seats to major renovation of the houses themselves -- including rebuilding an elaborate living room wall made of lath-and-plaster on the inside, brick masonry on the outside, with leaded-glass windows to deal with, as well as complete renovation of both kitchens: beautiful cabinets with cove moldings and stone counter-tops... Bill is an artist and craftsman as well as a practical builder. He is straightforward and correct in his assessments, estimates of time & cost, and diligent in following through to completion. His sense of responsibility is strong, his ethics absolute.

Bill did a remodel on my apartment building which was very complex, involving city code sound proofing requirements. Beachwood Builders and their subcontractors were professional, easy to work with and trustworthy. Would definitely use them again and recommend their services.

My experience with Bill and company was as a subcontractor. A client of his and mine brought us together. I am an electrical contractor, specializing in residential service and remodeling. As many subcontractors can tell you, it is hard for us to refer a good general contractor. I can tell you from 30 years in the business that Bill is one of the good ones. I highly recommend his ability to coordinate all aspects of, and parties involved with the job. He also has a great eye for the aesthetics of the job. And he plays well with others!
Beverlywood - September 20, 2012
We found Bill in neighbor2neighbor. At our initial meeting, he was personable, knowledgeable and punctual. These attributes contributed to our deciding to hire him for our home renovation (at the onset a simple room addition) and update of the exterior. But because we live in a relatively old house, as work progressed we found that much more needed to be done. And because we found Bill to be honest and conscientious, we ultimately decided to increase the project by modernizing other parts of the house--from top (new roof) to bottom (hardwood floors) to outside (lighting and landscaping). Ultimately, in addition to the creation of a “great” room and amazing contemporary new look to our exterior, we rejuvenated the kitchen with new countertops and appliances; updated the plumbing (including a tankless water heater with a recirculation line); we put in central air conditioning; and we redid the powder room, master bathroom, and bar area in the den. Bill was a dream contractor! We didn’t experience any of the horror stories that are so common with remodeling projects. He was ever present on the job site, overseeing the work and ensuring all was done well. He has a keen eye for detail and has very good design ideas! Bill's pride in his work extends to the subcontractors he hired. If a problem occurred, he handled resolving it in a professional and scrupulous manner. Bill is an excellent communicator, a quality that we appreciated throughout the project. He kept us informed of the status of work being done and needing to be done. He conferred with us at each step, providing practical and knowledgeable counsel when decisions needed to be made but not forcing opinions or choices on us. I have no hesitation in recommending Bill to family and friends. I think he does great work, and one couldn’t hope to find someone as trustworthy, reliable and experienced. We are completely satisfied with the job Bill did.

Woodland Hills - December 14, 2010
We are first-time clients of Beachwood Builders, and are absolutely delighted that we chose them as our contractor. As part of our landscaping project, we needed a new patio and wood pergola. The resulting construction is just beautiful and was completed on time, within budget, and with the utmost professionalism. Bill Bowles is a pleasure to work with - his knowledge and experience are first rate, and with his easy-going nature and great sense of humor, the project became a lot of fun besides having a wonderful end-product. His suggestion of building semi-circular benches around two existing trees, in redwood to match our new pergola, was a great insight and these were then constructed to the highest standards of craftsmanship. We love our new yard! We highly recommend Bill's work, and will certainly return to Beachwood Builders for future projects.
Toluca Lake - December 10, 2010
Bill Bowles has worked on five major remodels for me. I just keep going back to him. He’s a quality guy with a great conscience, very responsible and reliable. And he does what he says he will do. When he offers his own suggestions, he is usually right. His subcontractors are the best I’ve ever had. I referred him to some other people who won’t let him go, either. One night a few years back, before iphones, I woke up at 4:00 a.m. and he was up tarping my roof, and we did not even know it was raining! What makes Bill special is his incredible knowledge in all areas and aspects of contracting. That’s why I really trust and rely on him.
Los Angeles - December 8, 2010
I have the highest confidence in Bill Bowles’ integrity. I leave my keys with him. He does high quality construction. He has done a tremendous amount of work for me over the last ten years. His prices are reasonable. His follow up is great. He is honest and competent. I have zero complaints about him or his skills.
Palos Verdes - December 8, 2010
Beachwood Builders did a major kitchen remodel for me, which also involved exterior work, as we had to reverse the layout and move a doorway. They showed up on time, stayed on budget and had great follow up. Bill is a hands-on guy that “works with the tools.” With any remodel there are going to be some unexpected surprises. Bill anticipated them and made on the spot changes. We felt the price was fair because we knew what we were getting into. The job was on a tight schedule because this was just before the holidays and my wife wanted to have a working kitchen. We ordered all the cabinets and appliances in advance and I really liked how Beachwood coordinated the project. Bill Bowles is a good craftsman who sees the entire picture.
Los Angeles - December 7, 2010
Beachwood Builders remodeled my entire house, nuts to bolts; a major cosmetic overhaul and they did a fantastic job! It was all done in a timely fashion. Bill is very talented and great people work for him. He pays great attention to detail, is meticulous with good ideas. I had no worries. Bill Bowles is all good!
Beverly Hills - December 7, 2010
It is my true pleasure to give a referral for Bill Bowles. I adore this guy! I have worked with Beachwood Builders for 18 years and I’ll tell you, the combination of an anal person and a detailed contractor is a dream! I cannot speak highly enough about him. As the designer/architect, I work between him and the client, and he makes us all look good! His prices look comparable, but are really lower because of the superior quality of his work. Bill is extremely organized, and pays phenomenal attention to detail. He is the only contractor I know that puts together, before the job starts, an entire diagram of the schedule; he calls it the Critical Path, so the subs and the client can see where everyone is supposed to be and what they are to be doing at any given time. It is brilliant! The client feels totally on board at all times, and there is no confusion. His bid is meticulous so there are no surprise costs. What makes him so valuable to me is all the work he puts into a project before it even starts. He keeps to his time frame and estimate; everything is fully anticipated and accounted for. I wish him the best of everything!
