Also, I am a special education attorney and independent facilitator with regional center. I love Joleigh. At the time I used her services, about five years ago now, it was during Covid. My husband and I had a three-year-old at home while we were working and it got crazy! It was a scary time to bring someone in your home you don’t know. We didn’t want a live-in nanny. I was trying to interview people, but it wasn’t working out. I researched nanny agencies to see what was out there and I called Joleigh to help us in part because she had a flat fee rate. She wasn’t going to do more or less for us based on the salary of the nanny. We had certain qualifications we wanted: someone who would be safe and responsible, and who could match our son’s energy. He needed engagement. Joleigh asked so many questions—questions I would never have known to ask. Her way of being was so understanding. She really got what both of us we were looking for, as individual parents, and as a family. Then she got to work! She sorted through people and we had a couple of interviews before we landed on a person we loved. It was a quick process. We had this same nanny until things opened up again. She was a preschool teacher and had a young son. It was great. Joleigh is so thorough and patient. She is respectful of each parents’ outlook and needs. I started my own company, Babes in the Backyard, when my first born was three months old. The company is geared toward supporting moms with resources for anything they need, like help dealing with illness, or help with potty training, or finding a nanny. I found Joleigh in another group I was part of and brought her to Babes in the Backyard to our Moms in need of childcare options. I ended up using her services myself because after I had my second child, we needed help overnight. Joleigh’s specialty is nannies, but she did a great job sitting down with my husband and me to find us an NCS (newborn care specialist). She heard our concerns and brought up things we hadn’t considered. She takes a deposit upfront to start the process of vetting with background checks, etc. then a match fee when we find our match. Joleigh found four people for us to interview, and we chose the first one we met. She was perfect for our family and what we needed. We then paid the night nurse directly for the 10 weeks she worked for us. Joleigh’s personalized approach is so helpful because it feels like you’re going with someone who was referred by a friend.
