Intensive Courses Create Top Leaders in Local Government, Charity
SINCE 1999, LEADERSHIP PASADENA (LP) has produced empowered, inspired and connected leaders who strengthen the greater Pasadena area through their energetic community engagement. LP is for individuals who want to take an active role in Pasadena’s future.
Through an 8-month leadership development program, LP brings many diverse segments of the community together to create informed, motivated and collaborative leaders who make a positive impact. The program includes an offsite high-ropes leadership retreat, 60 hours of executive-level leadership education, 60 hours of community education/immersion, plus more. Sessions are held at renowned locations such as Caltech, Pasadena City Council Chambers, Pasadena Playhouse, Parsons, and Tournament of Roses. Trainers are community/business leaders and content experts with whom participants build relationships.
Leadership Pasadena also offers a specialized 6-month Community Leadership Course for Veterans. The course re-missions high-potential, service-driven veterans to use their military skills and experiences to serve as leaders in non-profit, civic, government and service organizations and successfully integrate veterans into their post-military civilian life. Participants engage with area leaders to gain a comprehensive understanding of today’s civilian leadership culture, the business landscape and the area’s strengths and weaknesses to take on community leadership roles within the San Gabriel Valley.
