Solar Price Discovery, Inc. Review

"To increase ROI, use timers on your appliances and pool pumps so they run during off-peak hours. By shifting energy from peak hours to off-peak hours you increase your savings and boost your solar credit. "

I love Solar Price Discovery. They did such a great job! The amount of knowledge they have, their product and their customer service are like no other company.

I met with about eight different solar companies and they are by far the best. I asked the other companies details such as where their panels were made or which inverters they use and they had no idea. Ariel knows so much, it’s incredible.

Ariel came out and showed me on the spot, with his laptop, my options and how the panels would look and function. He gave me projections on energy consumption and savings. Whereas the other companies were pushing me to sign a contract on the spot, Ariel showed me what he could do and then told me to think about it all and give him a call. But at that point I had that gut feeling that I completely trusted him and knew I wanted his company to do the work.

You always think construction will be uncomfortable, but with this project, the work happened quickly and painlessly. Ariel showed up with his workers in the morning, they worked all day, cleaned up after themselves and it was done! Boom! Magic! There was a site inspection a week later and it passed right away. The inspector even said he was impressed with the installation.

The pricing was competitive and for what I got I think it was a great deal. I look at my system and compare it to others and it looks like a Honda versus a Masarati!

I recommend Solar Price Discovery to anyone!

Lobo Canyon - November 8, 2019

I needed my solar panels replaced after the fire. I did my research and called about ten companies to come out and give me a bid. I soon realized that everyone who came was a salesperson, not the installer, and they were really taking advantage of the fire victims and jacking up the prices. I was working with my insurance adjuster who was a contractor and we knew how much the new panels should cost.
I finally put an ad on Craigslist for someone who could install some solar panels and Ariel contacted me. I met them and they were the most honest, bright and reasonably priced of all the companies I had met.
Mine is an 11-kilowatt system that has a special mounting on the ground, not on the roof. They got the permits and made a few adjustments after the first inspection. They stayed in close communication and they did an excellent job—at 30-40% less than the other bids.
After they completed the job, they worked on my daughter’s house and I also recommended them to a few other people. They’re really good guys!

Ariel at Solar Price Discovery went above and beyond with my solar panels. We live in a mobile home park and I called 50 solar companies to see about getting panels on our roof. 49 of the companies said no, but Ariel said “Let me see!” He did a bunch of research and found that the permitting for mobile homes is done through the state, not the city or county. He learned that , for permitting, we needed to know the type of roof we have, which would have been included in the plans for the mobile home, but the home is 40 years old and the manufacturer is only required to keep the plans for ten years. So Ariel went up a ladder with a selfie stick and took pictures of the roof and worked with an engineer to make sure everything was done to code so we could submit the plans to the state. When the inspector came, she wouldn’t go up the ladder we had because it wasn’t state approved, so Ariel scheduled yet another appointment and bought a state-approved ladder so the inspector could approve the panels!
In terms of financing, I had a special line credit where I had to use specific contractors for work. Ariel took the time to contact that company and get approved for the line of credit! He also took care of Edison to get the meter installed. He just really wanted to get our job done.
We have had the panels a year and ten months now and even with my husband’s plug-in hybrid car, our bills are never more than $10 per month. In the past they ranged from $150 to $400 in the summer when we ran A/C. We never worry about gas prices going up.

As of 2020, any new construction in California must utilize solar panels. As the LA Times reported on December 14, 2018, “California will become the first state in the nation to require all newly built homes to be solar-powered.” The California Building Standards Commission approved the mandate as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to address the climate crisis. The rule applies to all single-family and multifamily residences of three stories or fewer.
