We were referred to BMC by a friend. Michelle and Brian connected us with flooring suppliers and were patient while we took our time to find the perfect floors for our house. They then demolished our existing flooring and installed engineered oak throughout our entire house. Additionally, they custom made and stained stair treads to match the pre-finished flooring. It was a pleasure to have Michelle and Brian working in our home. They were friendly and hardworking, and they always arrived on time and kept their work areas clean. They communicated with us every step of the way. They took great care in installing our floors, and the floors look gorgeous as a result! I highly recommend BMC and would hire them again without hesitation if the need arose.

I own a construction company and BMC has done both large and small jobs for me—all hardwood floor installations. The quality of their work is always excellent. Their finishes are very clean. They excel in challenging areas such as stairs and inlays. In regards to project timelines, they’re on it—one of the best! Their prices fall in the middle when compared to other companies I’ve used and BMC is absolutely worth the cost. They’re a small company which allows the owners to actually work alongside their crew. I was referred to BMC Hardwood Flooring by a friend—they came highly recommended. After getting a couple of other bids for the job, BMC refinished the hardwood floors in my home. All bids were in the same ballpark with BMC being the least expensive. The quality of their work is great. This was a straight up refinishing job, but the house was occupied at the time. Brian was very creative in accommodating foot traffic in the work area while the job was in process. He actually finished the job earlier than projected and stayed on budget. Michelle and Brian were communicative throughout. Brian stopped by to check the floors two days after completion. No follow up was needed. I would absolutely recommend BMC to family and friends. This was a great experience across the board.

We hired BMC to install new hardwood flooring in our Venice bungalow. It was important to us that the new floors maintained the original design of the house. BMC accomplished this beautifully while installing floors in our living room and three bedrooms. The quality of work is impressive, and they finished the job earlier than expected. My home was built in the 40’s and still has the original hardwood floors. I had some home repair work done which included the removal of an in-floor furnace vent. BMC matched wood to our original 1940’s floor and installed it in place of the vent. Brian stained the new wood and refinished the rest of the wood floors in the house—the patched area matches perfectly to the original floors. BMC came recommended to me by three different friends. I got two other quotes for the work and BMC’s price was comparable. I found Brian to be both professional and personable. I work full-time. We first hired BMC 16 years ago to install one of a kind bamboo hardwood floors in our home—to this day, the floors are still gorgeous and in great shape. We constantly get compliments on our floors. Recently, they installed vinyl flooring in our home gym. I pictured old linoleum when vinyl floors were mentioned, but Brian and Michelle introduced us to a beautiful and durable vinyl product that can handle heavy gym equipment. I am a commercial real estate broker in Santa Monica. Brian and Michelle of BMC Flooring have been doing floors on my properties for approximately 15 years now. In addition, I refer them to my commercial clients, too, which shows how much I trust them. They do great work, everything from single-family homes to apartments to commercial buildings. The last big job they did for me, they installed 3800 square feet of floors for a music academy which came out perfect.
I checked into their pricing again recently. I have a little condo and compared BMC’s price with a flooring company in the valley. They are competitively priced but the quality of their work far exceeds all others.
Other flooring companies don’t always level out the floor which is extra work but BMC takes the time to do it right. Houses/buildings settle and things aren't straight, so the flooring contractor needs to fill it in and level the floors.
