Tile and stone are unforgiving materials. The pieces need to be laid straight at the outset, and the installation has to be solid to avoid cracking. Carlos apprenticed with craftsmen who taught him “old school” tiling methods. He carefully maps out each job before cutting a single tile, and he understands the intricacies of concrete and grout. We have done numerous projects with Carlos—countertops, bathrooms, and so on. He is awesome! He delivered what we asked him to do, and on time. He was creative in choosing tiles and colors. He did what he promised. Totally reliable. I have compared and his pricing was better than others. I really liked working with him and will work him again in the future.

Carlos is incredible! He did two jobs for me. Both were custom jobs where everything had to be set just right. The first time he was hired by the contractor and did an incredible job on my bathroom. I added another bath and I reached out to him to work with me again. Carlos gives you a price and that is what it is. He is punctual and works the whole day. He doesn’t play music. He is all business. He has all the top-end equipment and supplies in his truck so he never needs to leave to buy anything. He covers everything in the room to protect from dust, he leaves a pathway for you and he cleans up meticulously at the end. He does the calculations for the tiles really well. I have met his employees and his father and they are all people of integrity. I have recommended him to others they have been really happy as well!
I am very impressed. I am picky about recommending anyone for anything, so that I’m recommending him here means a lot.

Carlos is the most incredible artist when it comes to laying tile. He is very knowledgeable and truly a perfectionist. I would not have anyone else do my tile work. He has placed tile in 3 of my 6 bathrooms and will soon be doing the other 3. He also placed tile in my bedroom, stairwell (spectacular) and pantry as well as a bathroom in a condo I own. He takes a lot of pride in his work and craftsmanship. He is not the least expensive but he does amazing work and I have not been disappointed.

Carlos did the tiling in the kitchen and bath of our ADU. We did a lot of tiles—all the way up! His work is excellent. He is on time and professional. I compared pricing and he fell right in the middle which is my go-to, Goldilocks pricing—not too high and not too low, just right. He is very reasonable for the great work he does.
We had trouble with some of the walls that were uneven because the structure used to be a garage, but he and his father figured it out.
Carlos is a young guy and I’m proud of him, his work and his business.
Tiling is a mathematical process. If you aren’t knowledgeable or experienced, the project can come out horrendous. I would never hire anyone else to do my tiling.

I’m an artist and was selected for a public art installation in Boyle Heights by the city of Los Angeles. The piece is complicated in that it has tile inlaid with over 100 strips of brass that wraps around a concrete circular fountain. The measurements had to be exact so all the tiles were used and wrapped exactly around the fountain.
I needed a tile installer to figure out how to achieve this vision. I googled and went down a long list of contractors. No one wouldn’t touch it because it was so complicated. When I contacted Carlos he understood what was needed and the importance of the piece as part of the cultural heritage of LA.
Carlos wasn’t just an installer; he brought in his dad and the two of them took the time to strategically map out a workflow. They had two other hardworking guys who helped them build, and together they were able to finish the piece before the deadline.
For me, aesthetics and details are really important. The piece could have been easily been messed up.
I am working with Carlos again for another project in little Tokyo.
Carlos is a rare find.
