Dog Trainer Calms Canines and Saves Owners Stress
IF YOU'VE EVER BEEN PULLED DOWN THE SIDEWALK AS YOUR PUP CHARGES ANOTHER DOGm, or yelled “Down!” to no avail as she jumped onto your guests, you’re not alone. Los Angeles is full of loving humans with adorable, mischievous dogs who just need a little help understanding one other. Daniel Juan, the K9 Coach, offers you that insight with private and group training, as well as socialization sessions where dogs improve their behavior in a pack.
Daniel focuses on building confidence—in both dogs and their people. He doesn’t just teach obedience; he helps owners become calm, consistent leaders their dogs can trust, so everyone feels more secure together.
Daniel begins by identifying what’s really behind a dog’s behavior—chaos at home, a recent move, a new pet—all of which can unsettle routines and confidence. After observing the human‑dog dynamic, he creates a plan tailored to your pet, lifestyle, and goals. “When people understand their dogs better,” Daniel says, “they can love them more fully, on their own terms.”

Mar Vista - January 3, 2026
A client I trust introduced me to Dan and it was the perfect fit. My labradoodles are a lot to handle and I needed someone who really understands that. Dan started with dog walking and it naturally became dog sitting and training since my work schedule is busy and my wife is in school. He’s very sweet, easy to work with, respectful and honest about the dogs. It’s exactly what we wanted.
Cathie Quinn, mom of Penny & Puck
Clarkdale - January 3, 2026
We got a very young, extremely hyper puppy and were at our wits’ end. We met Daniel, and within minutes he had Penny doing anything he wanted without using aggression, just calm leadership. We hired him for private sessions, and now he comes five days a week to work with both of our high-energy dogs. He takes them on runs with his bike five days a week and trained us to stay consistent with their training too. He's great at his job and he clearly loves it. Our once unsocialized pups now have a pack they play with. I recommend him to anyone.
Kelsey J. and Franny
Santa Monica - January 3, 2026
We met Daniel by chance while walking our 11-month-old puppy, Franny, on the beach. She was demand barking so Daniel gave us his info and we saw immediate improvement after our first session. His training has been a life saver. He works on functional skills like walking calmly in the proper position and behavioral skills like looking to us for direction without trying to dominate. Daniel’s energy, passion and knowledge are amazing. His pricing is great and his package system gives us helpful flexibility. When we walk Franny, people often stop us to ask who our trainer is.
Sheri S. and Boo
Playa Del Rey - January 3, 2026
I rescued Boo on Halloween and at first he seemed fine, then about three weeks in he became extremely reactive. I had been unhappy with my previous trainer, so I met with Daniel and immediately felt better.
Boo is more reactive than most dogs and Daniel was clear that we could make progress but I had to be fully committed to setting boundaries. Once I followed what he taught, Boo started to change. It took time but he is now a completely different dog. Even neighbors have asked if I still have the “crazy dog” and I tell them this is the same dog.
Daniel understands the psychology behind dogs and explains it in a way that makes sense. His rates are very reasonable and his free Saturday sessions have been helpful. I also have him take Boo out with groups of dogs to the beach to help him socialize. I honestly did not know what I was going to do before meeting Daniel. I always give out his number.
Duane J. and Chance
Mar Vista - January 3, 2026
Daniel has helped us in significant ways with Chance, our rescue dog who was challenging to manage when we first got him. Chance needed socialization, basic obedience and a calmer overall presence and Daniel made real progress on all of those fronts. Chance listens better, has better recall and is a much easier dog to live with.
We also trust Daniel to stay in our home with Chance when we travel. He has become more than a dog walker. He is someone we trust with our dog and with our home.
Daniel is bright, energetic and ambitious about his work. He communicates well and even hosts Saturday park sessions so clients and dogs can socialize which is above and beyond his regular services. He also takes groups of dogs to the beach or on hikes which has been great for Chance. His rates are very fair for the level of service. He is reliable, upbeat and most importantly excellent with our dog.
