The Airliner - January 3, 2026
I bought one of the oldest restaurants in Los Angeles two years ago, the Airliner in Lincoln Heights. I had to replace a huge air conditioning unit on the second level. It’s scary going into business and hiring contractors because you don’t know if you can trust them and how they will charge you. I got Johnny’s info from a trusted friend who flips homes. Johnny walked me through the entire scope of work and laid out all my options, including the perks and challenges of different systems. He also checked the unit on the main floor and installed new thermostats. Off the top he was very transparent and patient in the way he communicated with me and my team. He did very good, honest work for me and cleaned up really well. When he asked me for a review I said yes, 1000%. I wish everyone who I hired to help build this restaurant was like Johnny. His advice and expertise are great. I can’t speak highly enough of his character and work ethic.

John is an amazing person, very accommodating. He takes a lot of pride in his work. He installed three mini splits for me. I knew his price was reasonable because I went online to see how much the units cost. John told me I only needed the air conditioning in certain rooms and it would cool down the whole house—and he was right! He really knows what he is doing. He and his team are thorough, and I felt comfortable with them in my home. My boyfriend was working an odd shift at the time and they arrived not just on time, but early to accommodate our schedule. In the end they left everything neat and clean.
John is a perfectionist: everything with him is consistent. It means a lot when people mean what they say and say what they mean. It’s invaluable, especially for someone who is retired and on a budget.

John has done a lot of work for us. His service has been excellent, and his pricing is more than fair. He has a lot of patience. Once I had to call the insurance company and John stayed on the phone while he was doing some work, patiently answering questions on my behalf. He’s also a skilled and smart guy who we call when anything is happening with the house. He has done some electrical work for us and once fixed a leak on our roof!
We learned quickly you can trust his opinion. He is not the kind of guy who charges more than is fair, or tells you something without really knowing what he is talking about. Also if he sees something that is beyond his skillset, he lets us know, but explains what needs to be done and tells us what we need to ask to get it done properly.
We trust John to go into our home even when we are not there. And if we have an important need, he will fit us in his schedule even if he has to arrive at 5 am. He doesn’t push you to do anything extra. If you need him, he’s just a text away. I’m so happy I found him!

Culver City - January 3, 2026
Johnny is like an old school craftsman. I hired him to install an air conditioning unit in my house that was built in the 1950s. I had been planning on doing this for six months and had no fewer than six estimates! But the other companies offered solutions that weren’t clear to me. They gave me very high prices with lots of other potential charges.
A friend gave me Johnny’s contact. When I called him, it was like night and day. He looked at the situation and explained what he would do in a way I could understand. His estimate came in exactly at what I thought it should cost. It was all so clear. When he and his team were working, they arrived on time, they were clean and neat and they did exactly what they said they would do. It was like clockwork. I wish he did more than A/C because I would have him do more. Everything exceeded my expectations. Johnny really cares about and understands his customers.

Inglewood - January 3, 2026
I have used John’s services twice, first in the summer of 2023. My siblings and I own a commercial building in Inglewood that needed a new AC system. John wasn’t afraid to take on the situation which required heavy equipment. He had to pull a permit to use a crane to get the old unit off the building and hoist the new one on. He did a great job!
John is a giving, genuine person. Once you’re his customer he has a sense of responsibility to you and he will help you out in any way related to the job. You might think he wouldn’t want to come back once he’s been paid, but he came back when I called him to fix a pre-existing structure under the AC unit that was deteriorating. He was also responsive when I followed up with him to update our thermostats.
Last summer another AC unit went out on a higher roof. This is a commercial building and I was concerned about disrupting the tenants. A friend of mine suggested trying to fix it ourselves, that it might just be a fuse, but rather than fixing it the cheap way, I called John. Turns out I had a vacuum leak. John said he could refill the system and it could last a week or a couple months, but that it wouldn’t solve the problem. John’s team was there at 6 am. They are fast and they left no mess behind, so there were no disruptions.
I always feel good about going to him and getting good answers. When you need him in the dead of summer and other people are trying to get a hold of him, he gives you realistic time when he will get to you. He is organized so he shows up when he says he will.
Everything he does makes it seamless for the customer. He is on top of everything. He deserves a good review. That is the least I can do!
