VENICE FAMILY CLINIC began in 1970 with volunteer physicians providing basic medical care in a borrowed storefront dental office. Since then, the Clinic has grown into a leading community center serving patients from the Santa Monica Mountains through the South Bay. In late 2021, Venice Family Clinic merged with South Bay Family Health Care and now comprises a network of 17 locations plus three mobile clinics and an extensive street medicine program.
Comprehensive services offered include: primary and specialty care, behavioral health, dental, vision, substance use treatment, HIV services, health education, health insurance enrollment and early childhood development. Venice Family Clinic partners with leading doctors and healthcare facilities to ensure patients receive the care they need, and also with community organizations and social service providers, so patients have access to social and economic programs that will help keep them healthy.
Venice Family Clinic team of more than 500 staff and 1100 volunteers delivers care to 45,000 people regardless of income, insurance or immigration status.
Patients often come to Venice Family Clinic because no one else will see them. They return because they trust the Clinic’s clinicians, they receive quality care, and they are treated with compassion, dignity and respect.
